Here at A Little Furniture Shop, we have a bespoke service with surprisingly affordable prices. The main reason is we make all the footstools ourselves and supply direct to you. The bespoke service is not as frightening as you would expect. Choosing is the biggest problem. If you are unsure of size, take some newspaper and lay it on your floor to see how much space it will take up. The next choice is shape. If you require a large footstool, then rectangular or square is the best choice. Don’t forget the footstools are made from wood so very large footstools can be extremely heavy. The largest we have made was 6 feet x 4 feet and was made from solid beech so it was heavy. If you are looking for a smaller footstool perhaps a round one or even a heart-shaped footstool makes a stunning piece and is still perfectly practical. We have a range of legs to choose from, traditional Queen Ann to contemporary chrome legs. Finally the choices of fabrics are endless. We offer free fabric samples so you can check the colours in the comfort of your own home. Once you have decided, the footstool is made and ready for delivery or collection in 3 to 4 weeks. If you are buying for a present and need something quicker, please let us know and we will do our utmost to make it to your deadline. We can’t alwayswork miracles though!

Our footstools are made using a locally sourced timber and some of the wooden feet are made using FSC certified timber. We have some of the finest fabrics for sale, tartans made in Scotland, spots, stripes, wool, cotton you name it we will probably have it!
